Accounts Assistant

The Accounts Assistant plays a key role in providing support within the Finance Team across a wide range of financial activities. They will work closely with all members of the Finance team to enable the team to meet deadlines and to ensure that all accounting needs are met and are in line with Company procedures.


Main Duties


The main duties associated with the role, include but are not limited to:

  1. Assists in processing all purchasing invoices and credit notes through relevant company channels and authorisations
  2. Payroll processing for new projects
  3. Ensuring all supplier queries are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner
  4. Ensuring that approved employee expense claims are processed correctly in a timely manner for payment
  5. Assisting in month end procedures as required by the Financial Controller
  6. Assisting in quarterly VAT return as required by the Financial Controller
  7. Maintain internal controls within the Finance department
  8. Ensuring that all relevant records relating to your areas of responsibility are completed, processed and filed correctly
  9. Ensuring that all relevant procedures and processes associated with your areas of responsibility are complied with, and remain active and effective
  10. Actively participating in the identification and implementation of improvements and best practice across the Company
  11. Actively promote and comply with key Company behaviours
  12. Maintain a safe place of work
  13. Attend and actively participate and contribute in Safety Meetings and Audits
  14. Any other task within your capabilities as reasonably requested by the Company
