Finance Assistant


At N-Sea we will help you to meet that challenge and enable you to achieve your full potential. We are currently looking for a Finance Assistant to join our quickly growing team in Dubai.


Main Objectives 

The Finance Assistant plays a key role in providing support within the Finance Team across a wide range of financial activities.  The Finance Assistant will work closely with all members of the Finance team to enable the team to meet deadlines and to ensure that all Accounting needs are met and are in line with Company procedures.


Main Duties

The main duties as Finance Assistant include, but are not limited to:


- Processing all purchasing invoices and credit notes through relevant company channels and authorisations

- Ensuring all supplier queries are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner

- Ensuring that approved employee expense claims are processed correctly in a timely manner for payment

- Ensuring Credit card transactions are processed correctly for month end purposes and that VAT is claimed correctly where due

- Entering all monthly sales invoices into Exact

- Accounting for relevant treatment of VAT on sales, purchases and expenses

- Assisting in month end procedures as required by the Financial Controller

- Assisting in quarterly VAT return as required by the Financial Controller

- Developing and maintain internal controls within the Finance department

- Ensuring that all relevant records relating to your areas of responsibility are completed, processed and filed correctly

- Ensuring that all relevant procedures and processes associated with your areas of responsibility are complied with, and remain active and effective

- Actively participating in the identification and implementation of improvements and best practice across the Company

- Actively promote and comply with key Company behaviours

- Any other task within your capabilities as reasonably requested by the company

- Maintain a safe place of work


Requirements for the position

- Good communication, interpersonal and organistational skills

- Excellent time management skills and ability to work on own intiative, set priorities and meet deadlines

- Strong attention to detail

- A team player

- Strong IT and administrative skills, including proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel

- Accounting degree 

- At least 3 years of experince in a similar role
