Financial Officer

Work with a lot of depth, realize your potential with N-Sea! We are looking for a Financial Officer who wants to work at our Base in Zierikzee.

Overall Objectives and Job Scope

The objective of the Financial Officer within N-Sea is to provide support to the financial department by managing daily accounting tasks, preparing financial statements and reporting


Main Duties

The main duties as project engineer, include but are not limited to:

  • Post and process journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded

  • Accurate processing of supplier invoices and assist in preparation of payment schedules.

  • Update accounts receivable and issue invoices

  • Update accounts payable and perform reconciliations

  • Assist with reviewing of expenses

  • Classify costs accurately

  • Assist senior cost accountant with cost analyses

  • Prepare cost forecasts

  • Assist in the processing of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statements according to legal and company accounting and financial guidelines

  • Assist financial manager in the preparation of monthly and yearly closings

  • Perform WIP analysis and reports.

  • Assist with annual budgets and monthly forecasts.

  • Ensure reconciliation of control accounts, ensuring correct allocation of expenditure to cost centres.

  • Any other task within your capabilities as reasonably requested by the Company

Requirements for the position

  • Advanced accounting skills

  • Well-versed in accounting principles and good understanding of financial reporting principles and practices

  • Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail

  • Good planning and organisational skills

  • Strong Time Management and ability to prioritise and meet deadlines

  • Integrity with an ability to handle confidential information

  • Strong Team Player

  • Problem Solving ability

  • Good communication skills

  • Bachelor degree in accounting or relevant field

  • Advanced use of Microsoft Excel

  • Good attitude towards Health & Safety
