Project SHEQ Coordinator / Document Controller

As Project SHEQ Coordinator / Document Controller you will support our tender- and project teams with all SHEQ related matters and you will manage data and documentation on behalf of the company and its clients in accordance with any contractual arrangements and/or regulatory and legal compliance.

Your main responsibilities as a Project SHEQ Coordinator / Document Controller are:

  • Identifying SHEQ challenges and initiatiating, recommending and providing solutions
  • Support the tender department with all SHEQ related matters
  • Co-ordinate and participate in internal SHEQ Audits including production and close out of audit reports as required
  • Initiating and driving of SHEQ improvement programs and safety campaigns to increase SHEQ awareness and behaviour
  • Investigating and monitoring accidents and high severity incidents with recommendations and actionplans
  • Maintain accident/ incident reports, co-ordinate data for SHEQ reports and presentations for monthly reviews (including trend analysis, key lessons and areas of concern)
  • Submit monthly SHEQ data providing updates on performance; initiatives; safety training and other relevant safety information
  • Assist SHEQ Advisor with project preparation, including document implementation and meeting attendance in respect of all SHEQ matters. This also includes Emergency Response Procedures (ERP) as appropriate
  • Assist the SHEQ team with co-ordination and administration of the Continual Improvement System (C.I’s)
  • Support other departments with obtaining access to governing and legislative standards that are not readily available to them
  • Review Company procedures and forms to ensure consistency within N-Sea Group, highlighting areas for development to members of the SHEQ team
  • Share lessons learnt from events across the organisaton
  • Cooperate with clients and other bodies during SHEQ audits and provide assistance where necessary
  •  
  • Maintain the BMS System, scanning, filing, and archiving N-Sea Group documents in accordance with document management controls, standards, processes and procedures to ensure documents can be retrieved efficiently
  • Ensure all data and information is in the BMS System is correct, complete and up to date and revisions are clearly implemented, recorded and issued
  • Responsible for document control registers and document numbering
  • Advising departments on how to manage document lifecycles to ensure that there is a clear audit trail of how documents are approved

Requirements for the position

  • MVK / Nebosh Certificate
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role and/or in the Industry
  • Minimum of IOSH managing safely qualification, with will to gain further vocational qualifications
  • Experience in a similar role in the Oil & Gas / Renewables sector
  • Knowledge of accident/incident investigations and root cause analysis
  • Environmental awareness
  • Computer literate, including inputting and searching data and ability to develop SHEQ reports, utilising database information
  • Knowledge of web-based SHEQ information sources
  • A good command of written and spoken English
  • Hands-on attitude
  • Team spirit
  • Good communicator and approachable personality
