Tender (Project) Engineer

Overall Objectives and Job Scope


The objective of the position of Project / Tender Engineer is a combined role of

  1. As a Project engineer you assist the Project Manager with the preparation and accompaniment of project activities. You coordinate your project with care for HSE, price and quality within contractual agreements


  2. As a Tender engineer you co-ordinate and produce high quality pre-qualifications and tenders.Carrying out all aspects of preparation, compilation and publishing of tenders and pre-qualifications.


  3. It is a possibility to work offshore in the project engineer role. You prepare and manage the project and assist in execution.

Main Duties

The main duties as project engineer, include but are not limited to:


  1. Preparing projects with schedules, deck plans, basic engineering tasks, procedures etc.

  2. Coordinate transports, crew changes and (de)mobilisations.

  3. Coordinate procurement equipment and services to suit the project requirements.

  4. Establish close working relationships with the project manager, asset manager and support staff to ensure the efficient execution of assigned projects.

  5. Manage project administration and financial control tasks.t

  6. Prepare and project review, technical reports and lessons learned.

The main duties as tender engineer, include but are not limited to:


  1. To co-ordinate the preparation and submission of assigned tenders that are tasked to the Tender Department. Take responsibility for tender content, presentation and submission.

  2. To coordinate the compilation of the tender and pre-qualifications submission documentation, from receipt to close out.

  3. Responsible for the maintenance of all tender and pre-qualifications registers and databases.

  4. Analyse tender requirements of ITT documents when received and update relevant systems

  5. Focal point with the client during tender process through to contract handover with operations.


Requirements for the position


  • Experience in the survey industry is desirable

  • Previous experience in a similar role

  • Bachelor or master degree in (Civil, mechanical, hydrographical or marine) Engineering with affinity for the offshore subsea industry

  • A flexible attitude, self-motivated and able to take responsibility

  • Good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills

  • Excellent Time Management skills and ability to prioritise to achieve deadlines

  • Strong knowledge on the use of Microsoft Office, Word, Projects and Excel.

  • Fluent in English

  • Willing to travel abroad occasionally
