We have a vacancy for a Junior Buyer for our organisation based in Dordrecht (NL).
At the beginning of 2022, N-Sea started the process of further professionalizing her Procurement Department. With an open-minded approach, several business cases were created to take the next steps with Procurement. During 2022 we improved our internal processes and created a basis to better support our assets and projects. In 2023 we would like to take the next steps and further optimize our supply chain, by implementing vendor and category management and optimizing our inventory. To achieve these ambitions and to continue our support to our growing organization we are looking for a Junior Buyer to provide support to our assets and projects and a Buyer to support in setting up and implementing Vendor and Category Management.

Together with the Procurement Team you will take on the challenge to ensure all our assets and projects receive the correct parts and services, in time and for the most competitive conditions. On a daily base, you will take the lead in negotiations with assigned suppliers, ensuring our deliveries are in line with our project planning and reviewing the performance of our suppliers. You will be working closely with internal stakeholders to support them with their purchases and to ensure they are aware of our procurement processes and policies.
Within your function, you will have lots of opportunities to suggest ideas and show entrepreneurship. Continuously will you look at how the procurement process, supplier base, and sourcing strategies can be further optimized. When you see a potential point of improvement you will address it and together with the Procurement Team plan how it can be improved.
We are looking for a real team player who can build strong relationships with our internal stakeholders and suppliers, has a drive to continuously get the best deal, and likes to be part of the journey to further improve the N-Sea Procurement Department.
Because of the strong ambitions to further optimize the N-Sea Procurement Department you have a unique opportunity to contribute to this development and learn about the several aspects that are related to Procurement.
Your main duties in this position
• Requesting, negotiating, and ordering parts and services for our assets and projects.
• Ensuring all parts and services are delivered correctly and on time.
• Capturing opportunities to further improve our sourcing strategies.
• Supporting the Head of Procurement with the professionalization of the Procurement department.
Requirements
• 0-to 5-year experience in a procurement professional.
• Bachelor level, a procurement or supply chain background is a pre.
• Commercial awareness.
• Fluent Dutch and English.
• Excel expert.
• Analytical and KPI driven.
• Freelance is not an option, Dutch based.
