SHEQ Advisor

For our head office in Dordrecht, NL, we are looking for a SHEQ Advisor.

Within N-Sea you will be challenged to develop yourself, to extend your knowledge and skills and to proactively participate in diverse projects and to improve and professionalize processes in the company.


Main Objective

To perform QHSE activities in support of the company objective as described in the company’s QHSE policies. Specifically to meet the commitments in the SHEQ policy and to ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards, alongside legislative and other requirements.

Main Duties

  • Verifying implementation and effectiveness of Business Management System (BMS) and project
  • Identifying QHSE challenges and initiating, recommending and providing
  • Maintaining the QHSE performance sheet, QHSE (project)
  • Act as the overall QHSE Advisor on a project, coaching of (less experienced) QHSE Advisor on projects and within
  • Investigating, reporting and following-up all incidents on a
  • Preparing and executing QHSE/Project Risk Assessments as
  • Monitoring and implementing new laws and regulations that apply to the organization.
  • Ensuring that all QHSE matters required by N-Sea and client are incorporated in project
  • Maintaining/Supporting the (internal) audit program to verify compliance and implementation of the BMS and leading third party and extrinsic
  • Supporting the timely delivery of the required management information and SHEQ performance
  • Advising SHEQ Manager on trends, developments and risks in the organization and drafting of improvement


  • Bachelor degree (HVK or HSE qualification awarded by NEBOSH)
  • Experience in a similar role in the Oil & Gas Industry
  • Auditor qualification and subsequent experience in SHEQ-systems auditing
  • Formal training in accident/incident investigation techniques and root cause analysis
  • Able to conduct risk and manual handling assessments
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Able to develop SHEQ reports, utilizing database information and deliver presentations
  • Working with people
  • Able to develop SHEQ training sessions on a range of topics
