IT Application Manager

We have a vacancy (full time) for an IT Application Manager for our organisation based in Dordrecht (NL).

Your main duties in this position
• Support the Head of IT with projects and managing Applications;
• Configuring and maintaining the applications, specifically the ERP-system IFS;
• Translating requirements from (key-) users in possible solutions within the applications
• Controlling availability, operation and integrity of the applications;
• Manage licenses;
• Database management including SaaS platforms;
• Maintaining the authorisations (levels) within the applications;
• Coordinating maintenance (planned and unplanned) of the applications between users and application vendors;
• Testing, guiding and implementing application changes and new releases of applications;
• Creating and maintaining technical documentation, procedures and work instructions;
• Performing lead in use of Power BI throughout the organisation;
• Manage licensing;
• Manage creation and usage of Power BI dashboards;
• Service desking with regards to IT issues;
• Provide end user application support;
• Logging all service desk interactions including adequate follow-up;
• Leading technical application and database specialists of IT partners e.g. TheDoc;
• Support improvement projects in IT as well as business;
• Advise and participate in improvement initiatives (e.g. strategic business planning);
• Advise on, and develop reports for the business;
• Advise and initiate company-wide IT based solutions for company business processes;
• Advise and support in developing IT policies and procedures;
• Managing application contracts with vendors including license management;
• Communicating with users e.g. advising on planned and unplanned maintenance/outages.

Requirements
• Bachelor degree, preferably in an IT-related discipline;
• 5+ years of experience in similar IT application management role or 10+ years of experience in IT end-user support, technical troubleshooting and client services environment;
• Working knowledge in service desking, knowledge of applicable tooling preferred;
• Working knowledge in Microsoft office environment, Windows and Microsoft 365;
• Working knowledge in IFS Applications 9 or higher preferred;
• Basic working knowledge of database management, server management and networking;
• Keeping track of trends in IT technology and related market potential;
• Customer driven orientation and well developed interpersonal skills;
• Innovative, honest and creative attitude;
• Pleasant and open personality;
• Personal and professional references;
• Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English and attention to detail;
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
