We have a vacancy (full time) for a IT Service Desk Engineer for our organisation based in Dordrecht (NL).

Your main duties in this position
• Recording and resolving IT issues – troubleshooting;
– Workstation related support (pc/laptop/phone).
– Installations of standard applications based on requests
– Problem analyses and deploying solutions as preventive measure.
– Close cooperation and communication with users on status of the issue.
– Escalating issues to applicable administrator of IT partner.

• Account management in Active Directory;
– Create, maintain and disable user accounts.
– Assigning accounts in user groups and advise in maintaining these groups.
– Participate in security management.
– Password control.

• Asset tracking;
– Preparing the issue of new pc/laptop/phone including stock control.
– Handing out to and collecting back IT assets from users (on-/offboarding).
– Registering and maintaining which user is using what IT asset.

• Creating and maintaining user documentation, procedures and work instructions.

• Support applications and infrastructure administrators e.g. in IT projects.

• MBO/MBO+ degree, preferably in an IT-related discipline.
• Preferably, but not mandatory, 1-2 years of experience in similar IT end-user support. technical troubleshooting and client services environment.
• Technical skills in: configuration of pc/laptop, operating systems (Windows 10/11), Microsoft 365, basics of network architecture e.g. Wi-Fi access points, switches and routers, telecom, desk and mobile phones, user/group account management (in Active Directory).
• Personal skills: communication skills, user focus (solving issues), proactive, improvising when needed, attention to detail, team player.
• Pleasant, honest and open personality.
• Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
