We have a vacancy (full time) for a Project Surveyor Seismic for our organisation based in Dordrecht (NL).

Your main duties in this position
• Preparation of project survey methodology, documents, schedules, and equipment lists;
• Coordinate survey equipment selections to suit the project (rental and purchase);
• Coordination of subcontractor selections to suit the project;
• Prepare and coordinate seismic survey project (de)mobilisations;
• Setting up and maintain N-Sea Seismic Survey Procedures;
• Initiate investment proposals for Seismic Survey equipment;
• Stay informed about new technical developments relating to Seismic survey and initiate requests for R&D projects;
• Support Crewing Department in selecting, appraisal feedback for competent Seismic project teams;
• Working in close relationships with the Operations Team and Data Centre to ensure the efficient execution and delivery of assigned projects;
• Review project designs and contributes ideas for cutting costs;
• Supporting and controlling offshore survey operations;
• Support the commercial / tender team during Seismic Survey tendering phases and negotiations. This includes equipment selection, timing estimates etcetera;
• Preparing project reviews and technical reports;
• Occasionally act as a Project Manager for Seismic Survey Projects.

Interdepartmental tasks (this role also works in close collaboration with the Data Centre)

• Communicate with other members of the project team to optimise the data quality (short term);
• QC, process, interpret, & monitor geophysical data within a supervised project environment in accordance with N-Sea procedures;
• Present & report survey data;
• Creation of new procedures and work instruction surrounding processing if required.

Requirements
• Bachelor or master degree in (Civil, mechanical, hydrographical or marine) Engineering;
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the industry;
• A flexible attitude, self-motivated;
• Excellent Time Management skills;
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal in English;
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office modules;
• Working collaboratively with team members;
• Advisory position;
• Good understanding of GIS software;
• Willing to travel abroad and work offshore occasionally.
