N-Sea strengthens its offshore subsea activities with offshore Survey/IRM/Support Vessel Braveheart Spirit

April 25, 2022

We are pleased to announce that N-Sea Group has entered into an agreement with Braveheart Marine to long term charter the Dutch flagged DP2 vessel Braveheart Spirit, a modern offshore survey / IRM / support vessel.

The vessel formerly known as the DPSV Bourbon Gulf Star vessel, built in 2010, was acquired late last year by Braveheart Marine BV converted and upgraded to meet the most up to date industry standards.

The Braveheart Spirit has a proven track record when it comes to safe and efficient offshore operations. With her DP2 station keeping capabilities, a carrying capacity of approx. 3,000t DWT, an overall length (LOA) of 73.2 metres, 16.5 metres width and a draft of 4.5 metres, she is the ideal vessel to operate in the Southern and Central North Sea. Furthermore, the vessel is equipped with 30T A-frame ideally suited for towing arrangements, geotechnical survey, and other subsea activities.

Services offered with the Braveheart Spirit comprise amongst others:

• Geotechnical, geophysical, and environmental surveys
• IRM (ROV and diving supported)
• UXO Survey, ID, and disposal activities
• Boulder clearance
• Walk to work
• Cable repair support activities

The vessel and its experienced crew will play a key role in realizing N-Sea’s ambition to become the subsea services contractor of choice.

With the long-term charter of the Braveheart Spirit N-Sea is strengthening its footprint and position in the subsea service industry, following the expansion of the offshore oil & gas and offshore wind markets.

“We are extremely happy with the agreement we closed with Braveheart Marine, which helps us to realize our strategic ambitions. Together with our qualified and engaged staff we look forward to creating new and exciting opportunities resulting in long-term relationships with our clients and deliver the best optimized subsea solutions for them. We thank Braveheart Marine for the continued trust in N-Sea and look forward to a fruitful and successful partnership.” said Arno van Poppel (CEO).
